Bingo is a popular form of entertainment for many. It provides an opportunity for exciting and sometimes profitable fun while allowing for socialization with friends. But as with most things, some people may grow tired of the traditional game. However, when participating in a bingo tournament, you will be playing several games. The results from the games as a whole determine the winner, not one single game as in traditional bingo. In order to win the bingo tournament, you must be the player who has amassed the largest amount of point in the tournament. These points are earned when you win one of the single bingo games that as a whole comprise the tournament. Obviously, the more single games you win, the more points you earn.

Many bingo players find tournaments appealing because they require only an entrance fee. For this fee, they are able to play many games of bingo. Also, the potential exists for winning some terrific prizes in these tournaments. The prizes can vary depending on the bingo hall. Most often cash prizes are offered. However, the bingo hall may offer another enticing large prize such as a television, camera, appliance, fun-filled vacation or other item. Some bingo halls will even give out prizes for second and third place winners. This practice varies from hall to hall. Of course, these prizes would be smaller than the one given to the first place winner. But at least more people are eligible to receive them.
